Mosaic Music Challenge @ TSG !!

I want to explain a bit about how I will be doing this so called "Mosaic Music Challenge" thing. I know some of you are wondering what in the world it could be, right? Well, wonder no more ! There will be several ways I’d ask that LO’s be done so that it is not the same thing over and over again. I like to keep things fresh so that people like to do the challenges and keep coming back for more later ! 1.) I pick a song and present it to the group. Those who want to do the challenge can use the words of the song and a picture of someone the song reminds them of… or perhaps pick a specific LO that they think represents the song in some way. 2.) I pick a Kit and ask that they pick their own song that goes along with the kit, add the words to the song and anything else they think goes well with the song and kit. I.e pics of people they know, places that are in the song, things mentioned in the song ( maybe a horse… a dog… a car… and so on ). 3.) I ask that they find a picture of their Mom ( Dad, sister, brother, child ect. ) and then find a song that says something to them about that person. 4.) I ask that they find a picture of their Mom ( Dad, sister, brother, child ect. ) and then find a song that says something to them about that person and complete the LO using a specific kit from a designer in the group. 5.) I ask that they pick a kit from the store, a song from a list I present, and do a journaling part on the page about how this song makes them feel and why. See what I mean ? It still uses words from a song no matter what, but with a different spin on it from time to time. Just to keep it interesting. Music is so very much a part of my life and I know there are a lot of others out there that feel the same way but never thought about using it in scrapping. If they have, not many know how to make it work. Here is your chance ! I will give you an example: I am choosing this song because it reminds me of my Mom and Dad who have passed away. I love the song and the words speak so close to my heart. Whiskey Lullabye Artist(s): (Brad Paisley with Alison Krauss) Written By: (John Randall/Bill Anderson) She put him out like the burning end of a midnight cigarette. She broke his heart: He spent his whole life trying to forget. We watched him drink his pain away, a little at a time, But he never could get drunk enough to get her off his mind, Until the night: He put that bottle to his head and pulled the trigger. And finally drank away her memory. Life is short, but this time it was bigger, Than the strength he had to get up off his knees. We found him with his face down in the pillow, With a note that said: "I'll love her till I die." And when we buried him beneath the willow, The angels sang a whiskey lullabye. The rumors flew but nobody knew how much she blamed herself. For years and years, she tried to hide the whiskey on her breath. She finally drank her pain away, a little at a time, But she never could get drunk enough to get him off her mind. Until the night: She put that bottle to her head and pulled the trigger. We found her with her face down in the pillow, Clinging to his picture for dear life. We laid her next to him beneath the willow, While the angels sang a whiskey lullabye. I will have a new challenge set up on the 1st and 15th ( or as close as possible ) of each month.
